According to the changes and amendments in the laws package called “Hearing Law Package” Georgian Internet Service providers may will be obliged to buy necessary infrastructure itself just for providing all of the necessary services for the agency.

In connection with this, Ucha Seturi the CEO of the Small and Medium Telecommunication Operators Association of Georgia in the Rustavi 2 TV’s interview mentioned that when the law enter into force it will cause financial and technical problems for about 150 small and medium companies and may lead to suspension of their businesses. This statement is shared by regional Internet providers too. Georgian National Communications Commission plans to get involved in these processes.
